Headlight,tyres,windscreen insurance

All local taxes, insurance and delivery charges are included in the rates we quote you, but please note that damage to headlights, tyres and windscreens is not covered by Turkish insurance policies. Turkey is working very hard to improve the national grid of roads particularly in this fast-developing region. Inevitably this leads to sometimes heavy and constant roadworks in one region or another and even the most careful of drivers often  incur unexpected damage. For peace of mind whilst driving in Turkey we highly recommend this extra cover which is a very small amount compared to the cost of a repacement tyre or windscreen or headlight, but we do stress that this cover is entirely optional. It can be selected at the time of booking or can be added to your total cost on your arrival should you choose.

Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW)

Is Collision Damage Waiver enough? There are two ways that CDW can let you down:1) It only covers the car’s bodyworkAny kind of insurance or protection will have ‘exclusions’, which are things it doesn’t cover. CDW covers only the car’s bodywork (the painted parts of the car), so it won’t help at all if there’s any damage to the tyres, windows, wheels, lights, engine, interior, undercarriage, mirrors, etc.2) There’s an excess to payEven if it’s the bodywork that gets damaged, you’ll still have to pay an excess before the CDW pays the rest of the repair cost. This excess is often somewhere between £1,000 and £3,500 (€1,000 and €3,500), depending on what kind of car you’re driving. What’s the benefit of Super Collision Damage Waiver? As the name suggests, Super Collision Damage Waiver is a top-up. It fills in the gaps that a standard Collision Damage Waiver leaves. It does this in two ways:1) It covers much more of the car than CDW Rental companies will offer their own SCDW policy, but they all cover a lot more than just the car’s bodywork. However, there might still be exclusions, so do check out the policy terms before you agree to anything.2) It reduces the excess Our SCDW policies get rid of the excess completely, so you don’t have to pay anything.
